The ACCC’s Informal Merger Review Process Guidelines 2013 were released on 27 September 2013. The indicative timeline for any merger reviews commenced on or after this date will be in accordance with the Informal Merger Review Process Guidelines 2013. The indicative timeline for any merger reviews commenced prior to this date will be in accordance with the Merger Review Process Guidelines 2006.
Below is a list of all public informal merger reviews under consideration (whether the merger parties have requested 'clearance', or the review has been initiated by the ACCC) and matters that are not yet under review by the ACCC but are being monitored.
An ACCC investigation into either a proposed or completed transaction does not mean that the transaction raises competition concerns, but that further consideration is required for the ACCC to reach a view.
Indicative timelines will be posted for all public informal reviews of proposed mergers. Completed mergers under public review will be posted on the merger register but no indicative timeline will be published.
